Goethe University is a lively, urban, and cosmopolitan university with a modern and attractive campus that provides an excellent atmosphere in which to study, think and be creative. It is the third largest university in Germany, located in Frankfurt – the most international city of Germany renowned for its status as a financial hub.

The Economics and Business Faculty at Goethe University Frankfurt is known as one of the leading economic institutions of higher education and scientific research in Germany. Internationally, it holds significant prominence, particularly in the field of Finance and Monetary Economics.  The Faculty has a focus on theoretical analysis; the close connection between the disciplines of economics and business, and the open approach towards a broad spectrum of theoretical, practical, and policy-oriented issues. Strong connections exist with the business community, particularly to the financial sector. Apart from the standard course curriculum, students can benefit from lectures by industry experts, including those from institutions like the European Central Bank (ECB).

The Faculty places significant emphasis on an international approach in both research and teaching. As a result, it has fostered a broad international network of esteemed partner universities worldwide.
